Rating skills honestly

The Skills tab's charts are only as honest as the ratings behind them. Rate skills is built to keep them that way.

The tap-based rating form
The tap-based rating form
  • Each skill is a row of 1–10 tap chips — no typing. Anchors: 1 = learning it, 5 = solid in practice, 10 = match-ready weapon.
  • The current rating shows as a marker; only skills you tap are saved. Untapped skills keep their last rating — so a quick serve-only round after a serve block is one tap, and history never gets padded with duplicate points.
  • Add a note per skill ("toss drifting left — fixed mid-session") — the latest note shows to the family under the progress line.

Cadence

Every rating is timestamped and the charts are time-scaled, so rhythm matters more than volume. A round every 4–6 weeks tells a clear story; the tab reminds you when it's been six weeks ("Skills last rated 8 weeks ago — rate now"), and the weekly players email flags it too.
